The Beatles - Let It Be

Recorded
before the majestic masterpiece Abbey Road, but released
a year later, this final Beatles album is dismissed by some
fans due to its incoherence and somewhat effortless production.
But although Let It Be cannot be ranked as one of Beatles'
finest records, it is neither an album to overlook. There
is a string of fine songs here, not at least the title track
itself - a delightful yet sombre ballad that captured the
mood of the group at the time. Other highlights include
Dig A Pony, Across
The Universe and I've
Got A Feeling. Inconsistent? Yes. Unfinished? Probably.
Let It Be is nevertheless a collection of some very fine
tunes - and it's an album that deserves to be included in
every music lovers' collection.
