The Beatles
were admirers of Buddy Holly and they performed several
of his songs live on a regular basis. Words Of Love, however,
was the only Holly song ever to feature on a Beatles album.
John and George used to sing the lead vocal together during
live performances, but Paul took George's place when the
group recorded the song.
Words Of Love
(Buddy Holly)
Hold me close and tell me how you feel
Tell me love is real
Words
of love you whisper soft and true
Darling I love you
Let me
hear you say
the words I long to gear
Darling when you're near
Words
of love you whisper soft and true
Darling I love you
