It's been
said that it was assistant Neil Apsinall who suggested that
the Beatles should repeat the title track at the end of
the Sgt Pepper record, just before A
Day In The Life.
The reprise
version was the last recording feturing all four Beatles
members before the final mixing of Sgt. Pepper.
Check
out McCartney's live album Tripping The Live Fantastic (1989-90)
for a six minute long live version of the song.
